SOCIALLY LIT

Last semester, I had the opportunity to attend a social event—one that required dresses and heels and not just the typical jeans and t-shirts. I won't say I'm given to social events. My attitude would usually be: get there, stay for approximately an hour and go home to watch some Netflix. Sometimes you have to step outside of your comfort zone, or you let your friends drag you out of it. Also, I'm not a fan for dresses. It doesn’t mean that I won’t wear them on occasions but not when I wanted to feel comfortable as at this event.
My preferable outfit is a jumpsuit. This past summer was a jumpsuit and romper phase for me. I was obsessed with them and was able to get a classic one—black and white. At first, I wasn’t sure how to combine the outfit. I had the jumpsuit, but had no idea what to pair it with and it was already the night before the event. You might have guessed what went on: I sat in my room, staring at my closet, having no idea what to wear.
These strappy pair of heels I obtained online for only $10! I repeat, $10 people! Can we all say, win! I can't tell you how many shoes I tried on before deciding on this one. I thought the pointed heels added a little bit of sass to the outfit. To class the jumpsuit up a little bit, I went with a black blazer. All in all, my ensemble ended having everything I was looking for, comfort, yet stylish.
