Effortless, but make it Intentional

“The more you learn and think you know; the more you realise you don’t know and have to learn.”
Something feels different in me. I don’t know if it’s the season I am in, but I feel free for the first time in a while. Freedom is difficult to describe because it’s beyond a feeling or a physical change. Freedom to me looks like wholeness, finding my God-fidence, and fostering an intentional mindset. Freedom to me means navigating life and relationships from a healed perspective. It means that I smile quicker than I cry. It means that I resist the empty promises of isolation and the deception of independence, but embrace surrender while boldly proclaim my victory. It means I walk boldly in my God-given identity, and not my circumstance-driven definition of self. So welcome, and join me.
I never thought in a million years I would catch myself in “mom jeans”; much less jeans with a flair bottom, however, on this day, something about these jeans from Zara was a vibe. Y’all remember when these were the rave maybe ~10-15 years ago? I never really got into the trend back then, but this time around, I’ve found myself really loving the fit! I am very aware that this look has been done with multiple different takes. I originally played with the idea of adding a corset top over it (which could still work); however, in the end, I decided to keep it effortless but intentional. These jeans could also be styled with a bodysuit and sports jacket on top (the baggier the better). There’s also an option to dress it down with flats or sneakers vs heels. I originally tried it with pointed heels to give it more of a structured vibe, however, I like the slight messiness of the open-toe heels (plus they were more comfortable). Add a couple of accessories and a messy bun, and you are golden!
What are your thoughts on this fit? Are you vibing mom jeans right now? Let me know your thoughts below!
Until next time,
